How to delete your data from Num4Lock
We respect your privacy and your right to control your data. This page explains how to
delete your data from Num4Lock.
What Data Do We Store?
Num4Lock stores the following data:
- Local Data (on your device):
- Username and avatar
- Game statistics (total score, games played, etc.)
- App settings (dark mode preference)
- Server Data (Firebase):
- Anonymous user ID
- Username and avatar (for leaderboard)
- Leaderboard scores and rankings
- Game statistics
Data Deletion Methods
Method 1: Uninstall the App (Local Data Only)
This method removes all data stored on your device, but your leaderboard data
will remain on our servers.
Step 1: Long press the Num4Lock app icon on your device
Step 2: Select "Uninstall" or "Remove"
Step 3: Confirm the uninstallation
⚠️ Note: This only deletes local data. Your leaderboard entries
will remain visible to other players. To remove server data, use Method 2 or 3.
Method 2: Clear App Data (Local Data Only)
This method clears all local data without uninstalling the app.
Step 1: Go to your device Settings
Step 2: Navigate to Apps → Num4Lock
Step 3: Tap "Storage" or "Storage & cache"
Step 4: Tap "Clear data" or "Clear storage"
Step 5: Confirm the action
⚠️ Note: This resets the app to its initial state. Your leaderboard
data on our servers will not be deleted. Use Method 3 for complete deletion.
Method 3: Request Complete Data Deletion (Recommended)
This method removes ALL your data, including leaderboard entries and server data.
Step 2: Use the subject line:
"Num4Lock Data Deletion Request"
Step 3: In the email body, include:
- Your username (if you remember it)
- Approximate date when you started playing
- Any other identifying information
Step 4: We will process your request within 30 days
Step 5: You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
✅ Complete Deletion: This method removes all your data from our
servers, including leaderboard entries, statistics, and any associated information.
What Happens After Deletion?
- Your username will be removed from the leaderboard
- Your scores and statistics will be permanently deleted
- Your anonymous user ID will be removed from our database
- You can reinstall the app and start fresh with a new profile
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
⚠️ Important: Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Make sure
you want to delete your data before proceeding.
Timeline
- Local Data: Deleted immediately when you uninstall or clear app data
- Server Data: Deleted within 30 days of your email request
- Backup Data: Removed from backups within 90 days
- Analytics Data: Anonymized data may remain for statistical purposes
Data Retention Policy
If you don't request deletion, your data will be retained as long as you use the app.
Inactive accounts (no activity for 2+ years) may be automatically deleted.
Third-Party Services
Num4Lock uses Firebase (Google) and Microsoft Clarity. To delete data from these services:
- Firebase: Covered by our deletion process (Method 3)
- Microsoft Clarity: Analytics data is anonymized and cannot be linked to you
